    9. Ingenuity took off and landed on Mars. It’s the small autonomous helicopter that has proved that powered flight is possible on another planet. In a nice touch of continuity, a small piece of fabric from the original Wright Flyer developed by the Wright brothers nearly 118 years ago was stowed under the solar panel and so also flew on Mars with it.
