We have just returned from a couple of days staying with friends on the Yorkshire Coast. On Sunday we went to see Henning Wehn, the self styled ‘German Comedy Ambassador’. It was very funny with some silliness and a lot of very accurate observation. We enjoyed it and even joined in with the singing!
The following day, we chose to walk along the sea road that goes all the way round the headland in Scarborough. What we hadn’t realised was the fantastic effect the current high winds had on the sea. Exciting it certainly was. It was approaching high tide with lots of spray and water flying over the sea wall. The wind was northerly so we set off from the north bay. It was wild, cold and wet, to say the least but wonderfully exciting and worth taking the time and making the effort.
