This simple but dramatic wrap was inspired by the art deco Hoover building in Perivale in West London.


Perivale has a garter stitch border with a welt stitch end, and simple but effective repeated rows of eyelets to create a wrap that provides stylish drapes as well as snug wrapping.
It is worked in double knit, but could easily be done in a finer yarn if need be.
The pattern uses ridges of welt stitch alternated with a basic lace design.
